At the Capital Good Fund, we’ve got a good reason to smile. Watching our clients achieve their dreams is incredibly rewarding. Every day, we witness the power of small loans and education to change people’s lives. Whether it’s seeing the gratitude of a single mother who has been given the support to start her own business, or the excitement of an immigrant on the verge of becoming an American citizen, we are motivated day-to-day by the spirit and drive of our borrowers.
The Capital Good Fund (CGF) began as a dream in a social entrepreneurship class at Brown University in the fall of 2008. Originally designed to combat environmental devastation and create economic opportunity for low-income Americans, CGF was once a student-led initiative. Now, we're a rapidly growing 501 (c)(3) non-profit that takes a comprehensive approach to fighting poverty.
